Profile:
Yuya Sarashina was born and
grown up in Sapporo, Hokkaido, in 1977. Relocated to Tokyo to be an actor at
the age of 20 and started practicing yoga by himself for acting. He was fascinated
with Ashtanga yoga and held an art exhibition called “Yuya Sarashina Yoga
Exhibition” in Marunouchi, Tokyo to express his inspiration and energy gained
through yoga. Have been learning yoga at KPJAYI (http://kpjayi.org/home) in Mysor, India,
under the guidance of Shrath Rangaswamy since 2007 and he was unexceptionally accepted
to 2nd led class only at his second visit to KPJAYI. His asana,
which has been created from marvelous skills and minute concentration, was
acknowledged as “Art of Body”. Upon his return to Japan in March, 2009. He conducted
his first Japan tour called “Into the mind” and achieved a great success with
more than 5000 audience. In 2010 he was appointed as JPJAYI Authorized teacher
by Sharath and in 2011 he was upgraded to JPJAYI Authorized teacher Level2.
