She moved to Los Angeles by herself and achieved successful outcomes such as dancing with Michael Jackson as a Japanese dancer on the world stage.
When she came back after childbirth she served as a special lecturer in dance at New York University and came back to Japan in 2004. Awakening, an exercise formed based on changes in her body during her dancer days and after childbirth has been introduced to Shiki Theatre Company since 2002 and now taught in the Awakening Space and workshops nationwide.
In 2007, she was named one of “100 Most Respected Japanese People in the World” by Newsweek magazine.
