Born in 1976 and hails from Miyagi Prefecture. He graduated from First Literature Department of WASEDA University. He was interested in yoga because of Brazilian Jiujitsu he started learning during his school days. He repeatedly visited India and the United States to gain a further understanding of yoga and saw its various great techniques and was influenced by them. In addition, he went deeply into many kinds of breathing methods, meditations and eastern thoughts such as Sudarshan Kriya, vipassanā meditation, Buddhism, Zen, Taoism, etc.
In 2003 at Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA) in Bangalore, India, he acquired the qualification of yoga instructor certified by the Central Government of India. Then he has completed a number of teacher training courses led by yoga teachers renowned across the world such as Yoga Arts 200 hour teacher training with Louisa Sear, Anusara Immersion 2 with Jackie Prete, YTIC (yoga therapist course) hosted by Japan Yoga Niketan, YIN yoga teacher training with Sarah Powers, Thai yoga teacher training with Jonas Westring, Ashtanga Yoga 200 hour teacher intensive course with Richard Freeman, etc.
Since 2004, he held the position of Director in major yoga schools in Tokyo and was in charge of establishing and instructing teacher trainings. He engaged in training more than 600 yoga instructors. In another field, he contributed a series of his articles about mastering yoga to SOTOKOTO, which is one of Japanese most famous LOHAS magazines from 2006 to 2007 and earned himself a good reputation.
In December 2008, he founded LiLA YOGA INSTITUTE near Gakugei-daigaku station and started operations for the purpose of spreading “LiLA YOGA” – yoga style born in Japan, in which a wide variety of excellent essences of yoga he learned have been reassembled and systematized. He now focuses on full-fledged spread of yoga and training yoga teachers throughout the nation under the theme of “a feeling of euphoria” through yoga.
