Ashtanga Yoga –from Half to Full, into Mysor style [23H3]
Profile:
Started yoga practice for the fitness for her music performance when she was a student at Music school. After the graduate, she travelled to Rishikesh, India, and experienced yoga in its origin and upon her return to Japan she started learning yoga under Ken Harakuma.

Since 2004 she studied Italian opera and religious musice in Italy for 4 years and started another career as a club DJ. She participated in International music festivals including Temporary psychosis in Munich, Bella Luna Dance Festival in Switzerland, and also in Italy under the name of Epicurean. At the same time she
attended a lot of yoga workshops in Italy and visited AYRI (Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute) in Mysor, India and learned yoga by Sri K Pattabhi Jois and Shrath Rangswamy. In India Momo also learned Sanskrit and Chanting under Raksimish and Karnatic Music under Rajini Koushik.

Upon her return to Japan in 2008, she started teaching Ashtanga Yoga at IYC Tokyo and conducted workshops all over Japan to prevail yoga. She actively involved herself with yoga demonstration and DJ at yoga festivals including “Dance of Shiva” which is Japan’s outdoor festival for Indian Music. At YogaFest 2009 her opening special class “Kirtan and Mantra” was highly appreciated as well as her original music for the collaboration class “Ken meets Shiho” by Ken Harakuma and SHIHO.

In 2011 Momo was appointed as KPJAYI authorized teacher by Sharath R Jois.
