Sivananda Yoga [23D5]
Profile
While she was a fashion model, Josi Vallicherry, a yogi from southern India, introduced her to Raja yoga and Bhakti yoga. She then went further and learned Sivananda yoga and meditation methods from Francois Chaillou, who had been a Sivananda yoga instructor over years and then became a monk training in the woods in Thai, and also learned yoga philosophy and breathing methods from Emil Wendel.

After studying various styles of Hatha yoga, her eagerness to share her experiences achieved from the unique practices which was never distrained by the system, naturally led her to teach yoga since 2002.

Currently, she holds regular classes in Tokyo as well as workshops/on road classes throughout the country. She also teaches the Teacher training course at UNDER THE LIGHT YOGA SCHOOL. Officially certified Sivananda yoga instructor. Officially certified Aayurveda lifestyle counselor of Japan Aayurveda School.

Head of Yoga-One Tokyo (http://www.hikaruworld.com).

Publications include “Yasashi Yoga”, “HIKARU no tanoshi Yoga” (SHUFUNOTOMO Co.,Ltd.)
